At 2,640' elevation, Obsidian Ridge may produce the only wine made in California at a half mile high. The vines utilized were planted back in 2000. The blend is predominately Cabernet Sauvignon, with the remaining nearly equal parts Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. The grapes are pressed and blend, and then age for 31 months in Hungarian Oak.
