ID'd Wisconsin Man Cotton Mill Worker 1840s Daguerreotype Photo Occupational instrument The mount is 81840s, 1 6 plate daguerreotype of a man identified by a period note as, "Paige Nichols when he was young and overseer of cotton mill". Dag is in half of a case. It is tarnished and the right side of the liner is missing, but appears to be in VG condition otherwise. Paige Frederick Nichols was born on January 8, 1830 in New Hampshire, and died on March 20, 1916 in Chippewa County, Wisconsin.
