The bullet section feels real due to its weight, I can also see the lead underneath where the gold coating has worn. The bullet base is stamped "E". I'm unsure on the calibre but it's a . 30cal of some sort, maybe a 30 40 KRAG. The coating is not gold but probably a brass alloy of some sort, some of it has chipped away (see pictures).
