Snowy River Shearers Quarters Colour:White Sheep By The Porch atA low timber and corrugated iron shearers' quarters sits beneath a row of Lombardy poplars in the Snowy River region, stock yards flanking it on either side. Buildings like this housed the itinerant shearers and station hands who kept the Monaro's wool industry moving across the pastoral boom years of the 1870s to 1890s.
