We actually love this foliage with its tiny elliptic leaves covered in dense shiny textured scales, and a countering reddish brown scales on the underside. This species, which originally grew at 12k 15k feet elevation, makes for a great addition to small growing areas and is hardy to 5F when protected from windchill.
