GERMAN WWI HESSIAN BUCKLE 1847 PATTERN the interior lining being inA rare 1847 style of buckle of a Hessian infantryman, larger than the later model, with quite indistinct detail to the Hessian crown. Some distortion to the buckle, with its heavy duty double pronged belt fixing system, of which the tube is slightly bent. For some reason, much of the detail at the front of the buckle has been polished or worn out, and there are two tiny pinholes through the brass construction. Nevertheless, a rare buckle. Ref; 93277
